Credit Union Membership

Becoming a member of Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) gives you many benefits, including low-rate loans, savings options, a Free Checking account, Relationship Rewards discounts, easy account access and lots of low-cost or free financial services. Since 1936 we have served residents in the Greater Los Angeles metropolitan area as a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution.

To establish your Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) membership you need to:

1) Open a Regular Share Savings account with a $10 minimum opening deposit ($5 one-time LAFCU membership fee, and a $5 minimum savings account deposit). A $50 balance must be maintained in savings after six months from the date you joined LAFCU or a monthly fee applies.

and 2) Join us in one of three ways:
• Make an $8.00 donation to join the LOS ANGELES CHARITIABLE ASSOCIATION, INC., a 501(c)3 non-profit charity, if you live in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura.

or • Pay $8.00 to join the FINANCIAL FITNESS ASSOCIATION, if you live outside the counties listed above.

or • Work for the City of Los Angeles, CA.
