Basic Account
LAFCU members not yet in a V.I.P. account have a "Basic" account, which includes these features:
- Competitive Checking & Savings dividends
- Unlimited check writing
- Unlimited free LAFCU ATM & Point-of-Sale Transactions**
- Free e-Branch & VoiceTel-24 services
- Free Shared Credit Union Branch services
- Free LAFCU telephone center services
- One free replacement plastic card within a 12-month period
- No annual fee for plastic cards
- Free teller visits
- $1.25 per transaction at non-LAFCU ATMs
- Free printing of one box of Standard LAFCU checks upon account opening (the fee varies for printing additional checks)
- Various loan discounts
Value Account
Requirement - Direct Deposit of paycheck, retirement check, or any recurring check, or combined quarterly average aggregate household balance of $1,000 to $4,999*
Benefits - Everything in the Basic Account plus:
- A .125% rate discount on automobile, truck, motorcycle, RV, boat, personal watercraft, personal computer, Personaline line of credit/overdraft protection, and signature loans
- Free printing of one box of Standard LAFCU checks upon account opening, then, upon request, one free box per year of Standard LAFCU checks. The fee varies for printing additional Standard LAFCU checks and any other designs.
- Three free withdrawals at non-LAFCU ATMs per calendar month, then $1.25 per withdrawal**
- Free standard American Express Travelers' Cheques
- Three free Cashier's Checks per calendar month
- No annual or opening fees on IRAs
Imperial Account
Requirement - Combined quarterly average aggregate household balance of $5,000 to $24,999*
Benefits - Everything in the Basic and Value Levels plus:
- A .25% rate discount on automobile, truck, motorcycle, RV, boat, personal watercraft, personal computer, Personaline line of credit/overdraft protection, and signature loans
- Four free withdrawals at non-LAFCU ATMs per calendar month, then $1.25 per withdrawal**
Premier Account
Requirement - Combined quarterly average aggregate household balance of $25,000 and above*
Benefits - Everything in the other accounts plus:
- A .375% rate discount on automobile, truck, motorcycle, RV, boat, personal watercraft, personal computer, Personaline line of credit/overdraft protection, and signature loans
- Six free withdrawals at non-LAFCU ATMs per calendar month, then $1.25 per withdrawal**
- No replacement charge for any lost or stolen LAFCU plastic card
- Free notary service
- Free overdraft protection
- Free account statement copies within the last calendar year
Premier - 55
- LAFCU members who are 55 and above are automatically rewarded with our Premier-55 account, featuring the same benefits as our Premier account
* Households are defined as all LAFCU members living at the same address. Combined average quarterly household balance includes savings and/or loan balances, and excludes investor mortgages and student/parent education loan balances. Account levels are based on your cumulative average balance for the prior quarter. The statement you'll receive each April will reveal your V.I.P. Account level based on your January through March (1st quarter) LAFCU relationship. Each July statement shows the level based on your April through June (2nd quarter) relationship. Each October statement shows the level based on your July through September (3rd quarter) relationship. Each January statement shows the level based on your October through December (4th quarter) relationship.
