LAFCU to Host Community Shred-Fest in Gardena

When in doubt, protect your identity and just shred it. That’s what Los LAFCU is telling local residents by inviting them to its Community Shred-Fest on Saturday, May 18 from 9 am to 1pm. This free event takes place near LAFCU's Gardena Branch in the parking lot of the Gardena Gateway Shopping Center at 1352 West Artesia Blvd.

The purpose of this event is to empower residents to safely dispose of personal documents using a secure shred truck. All documents will be shredded on-site, leaving no possibility for theft or loss. Acceptable shred items include payroll stubs, account information, addresses, phone numbers, credit applications, background checks, budgets, tax documents, legal documents, mortgage and escrow documents, or any type of paper-based confidential information.

And who said you can’t shred and party at the same time? Along with this free service, LAFCU is celebrating the ten-year anniversary of its Gardena Branch. To help commemorate this milestone, the credit union will host a tent at the event complete with balloons, food, refreshments, eco-bag giveaways and more. Plus, every resident who attends the Shred-Fest will be entered for a chance to win a $500 gas card. Everyone is encouraged to bring their family and friends and enjoy a day of shredding-filled fun. Donate & Score LAFCU Blood Drive

Donate blood and score cool prizes at the Donate & Score LAFCU Blood Drive on Wednesday, June 5, held 9am to 3pm in the Bloodmobile parked at our Glendale Corporate Office. In partnership with the American Red Cross, LAFCU will be collecting blood donations from members, employees and local residents.
